Ruth K. Mullen

Ruth has over 40 years of investment management experience, as well as background in trust, estate and retirement plan administration. Prior to joining Parsons Capital Management in 2008, Ruth was a principal at Ocean State Asset Management and before that, with New England Trust Company since 1980. Ruth currently serves on the board of directors, the finance committee, and chairs the investment committee of Save the Bay. She serves on the board of overseers of the Providence Children’s Museum along with being an investment committee member of the Providence Art Club. She is also a member of the finance committee for Community MusicWorks. Ruth has served on the boards of the Providence Public Library, Providence Country Day School, Providence Children’s Museum and on the philanthropic services committee at the Rhode Island Foundation. She received a BA from Vassar College and an MA from the New School for Social Research in New York. Ruth also obtained a graduate certification in trusts and investments at Northwestern University.
