Bob’s investment career began at G.H. Walker in Providence more than 35 years ago. He also worked with Drexel Burnham and Baldwin Brothers prior to starting Parsons Capital Management with his brother, Ged in 1993. The firm now employs 18 individuals of which ten are portfolio managers. The firm is the largest independently owned Investment Advisory firm in the state as measured by assets under management. Bob graduated from the Governor Dummer Academy and attended the University of Denver. He has served on the boards and committees of many local organizations including the Rhode Island Foundation, St. Andrew’s School, Gordon School, and the Providence Public Library. He is an active board member of the Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company and the Fishers Island Club.
