Bob’s investment career began at G.H. Walker in Providence more than 45 years ago. He also worked at Drexel Burnham and Baldwin Brothers prior to starting Parsons Capital Management with his brother, Ged in 1993. The firm now employs 18 employees of whom ten are portfolio managers. Bob graduated from the Governor’s Academy and attended the University of Denver. He has served on the boards and committees of many local organizations including the Rhode Island Foundation, St. Andrew’s School, Gordon School, and the Providence Public Library. He most recently served as chairman of the board of the Providence Mutual Fire Insurance Company and is a past board member of the Jupiter Island Club in Florida.
