David has been associated with Parsons Capital Management since 1999. He began working with Fleet Financial Group in 1980 and held senior positions with Fleet Investment Advisors and Fleet’s investment advisory subsidiary, The Providence Group. David holds a degree in economics from Lake Forest College and was awarded a certificate of special studies (CSS) in administration and management from Harvard University. David is a Chartered Financial Analyst ® (CFA) and his professional memberships include the CFA Institute and the Providence Society of Financial Analysts. David is a member of the board and a member of the investment committee of the RI Philharmonic and Music School. He is also a past member of the board and treasurer of the Festival Ballet of Rhode Island and the investment committee of Swan Point Cemetery.
